About Us
History
Established in August 2006, Bethel’s Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Southwest Houston. We offer outreach programs and enrichment activities to the community because it is our desire is to empower the members of the community to rise above their circumstances by offering various programs designed for the entire family.
Since inception, Bethel’s Place has strived to develop the Fondren Southwest community by providing:

- Youth Empowerment Program
- Job Training and Placement
- Food Pantry and Meal Service
- Senior Adult Outreach
- Family Enrichment Activities
- Mentoring Programs
- Counseling Services

Our mission is to positively affect the lives of the people in our community by providing resources that are imperative to enhance their quality of life.
Our Vision
The driving force behind Bethel’s Place has been the belief in the strength, character and potential of the residents of Fondren Southwest. As an entity that has been an integral part of this community for over 13 years, Bethel’s Place has been meeting the needs of individuals, families, and entire neighborhoods. Beginning with the basics- food, clothing, and support- and moving beyond to enrichment, employment, and education, Bethel’s Place is an agent of change for the surrounding community. Despite the economic and demographic changes that have challenged the area, Bethel’s Place is committed to rebuilding Fondren Southwest. We are committed to creating an educated and empowered group of citizens as well as providing support for individuals of all ages.
